On June 13th 2008 a TOWCON was fixed between HK Ocean and Beijing Green Vessel Co., Ltd. HK Ocean is assigned to tow the Russian built retired destroyers ‘KRIVAK III’(130m/14.30m/9m) from Dadong Anchorage, Dandong to Mazhi Anchorage, Zhoushan. The destroyer is a retired North Korean navy vessel purchased by a Chinese ship scrapping company. The towage is expected to commence between June 19 – 22 by a 2640BHP tug and the expected transit time is about a week. |
